Restore 23/24
Supporting women living with and leaving domestic abuse through holistic therapy.
About the Project
Thanks to the National Lottery Awards for All and other supporting organisations!
Our first launch of Restore, reaching women living with and leaving domestic abuse, has almost come to the end of part one. The project has reached over 100 women who have found us through organisations, social media, or word of mouth.
Some women have been able to receive a relaxing treatment who wouldn’t otherwise have thought to try one, and some have been able to access something they know helps but couldn’t otherwise afford.
We have had feedback of improved sleep and many taking an interest in doing self-treatments at home. It has been inspirational working with so many strong women, but sad at the same time to see how many of those women we are working with are forced to sacrifice their own well-being.
It is such a blessing to see organisations like Navigo and Women’s Aid helping some of these most vulnerable, and offering hope, change, and encouragement. Our practitioners have been selected carefully as understanding and recovering people themselves in order to really get to grips with what is needed and how to make our beneficiaries comfortable while providing what they need. We feel privileged to have been able to share in workshops so many holistic, natural, and somatic skills that have helped many on their healing journey.
